Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, Inc. hosted a great Build-A-Bike Team Building Event at the Gaylord Texan. Takeda is among the top 15 pharmaceutical companies in the United States and this event showed they have a heart for their work, their company and the community. The participants gave part of their regional meeting time to have some fun getting better acquainted with each other and making a difference in the lives of children. 

The Build-A-Bike gave them time to work together having fun, sharing laughs and solving problems. The first activity had them splitting into teams, choosing a team captain and conducting a number of team activities. This gave each team the opportunity to showcase their creativity and enthusiasm while having fun getting to know each other better, and sharing a lot of laughs with the whole group.  The next activity gave each team questions to answer, riddles to solve and problems to overcome, with the final result being that bikes were built that were donated to children from, the local Boys and Girls Clubs of Dallas. The children were present at the end of the program to accept the 14 bikes, which made for a great ending to a great event.

Everyone likes to feel like they contribute to their community. For a company, like Takeda, to bring their people together at the Gaylord Texan for an event like this- it not only gives the individuals an opportunity to contribute, but the company as well. This helps the individuals to feel good about the contributions, as well as their company. The individual and the company working together to make a difference for kids, their families and the communities they live in. This event is a win-win-win situation. The individuals benefit, the company benefits, and the receiving children, their families and their community benefit. The Build-A-Bike Team Building Event provides a great opportunity for everyone.
