This is the virtual version of the heartwarming Rescue Bear ® team building activity. This is a hybrid team activity that combines fun team building and solid team development.
First, we send each of your team members a sealed box with a “Do Not Open Until” message. Inside each box are all the materials needed to build a single bear. (We also include postage and a shipping label to send it to the charity.)

How Does the Virtual Teddy Bear Team Building Work?
Your team meets virtually via Zoom or any other virtual platform. In the first activity, participants sort themselves based on the strengths of their personality. (We use a fun game that is remarkably accurate as a strength-finder.
After the group is segregated by personality, they solve challenges based on each of their personal strengths. They must solve every challenge to be able open their Rescue Bear ® box.
The catch is that to finish the game, the team must rely on the strengths of the entire group – not just their own.
Because the team has to work together as one cohesive group, they all end up opening their boxes at about the same time. We spend a few minutes stuffing the bears and posing for virtual photos. Finally, the boxes are sealed back up and shipped to The Child Rescue Coalition. The bears will make their way to detectives in the Special Victim’s Unit department to be given to kids who have been through trauma. (Yes, they really are Rescue Bears ®.)
