Rheem Manufacturing brought 88 HR professionals together for a Build-A-Bike® charity bike-building event on Sept. 30. The event was at Le Méridien Atlanta Perimeter as part of the company’s three-day HR summit. The group built bikes for kids through the Foster Care Support Foundation.
Rheem Manufacturing is a global heating, cooling, and water heating products manufacturer. They were founded in 1925 and now operates more than 50 brands serving residential, commercial, and professional markets around the world.
Rheem’s HR Team Comes Together To Donate Bikes in Atlanta
The Build-A-Bike® came at the end of day two of the summit. Instructor Kelsey Greenwood said the group arrived with energy and enthusiasm. Making them one of her favorite groups to work with so far. Their team cheers were, by her account, the most creative and enthusiastic she’s seen, setting the tone for the whole afternoon.
The summit happens every two years, and this one had a point to prove. Last year’s edition was canceled and rescheduled, so the team had extra reason to make this gathering count. Its theme was “Better Together — Connect, Strengthen, Impact.” The group chose Build-A-Bike® to put teamwork, collaboration, and working together into practice. A little friendly competition and a whole lot of enthusiasm did the rest.
The finished bikes went to kids through the Foster Care Support Foundation. They’re a reliable Georgia nonprofit based in Alpharetta that supports children in foster and kinship care. Assisting the families who care for them with free essentials. Charity representative Rachel Ewald accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.
We’d like to thank Rheem for having us as part of their HR summit and giving their team a hands-on way to live out its “Better Together” theme. We would also like to thank the Foster Care Support Foundation for the incredible work they do for the community.
