Global Payments brought 90 members of its Executive Leadership team together for a Build-A-Bike® Team-Building Event in Atlanta, GA. The event was held at the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead on Sept. 22, kicking off a multi-day meeting. The group built bikes together before moving into dinner on the first night of their gathering. The finished bikes went to kids through Agape Youth and Family Center.

Global Payments Executives Reconnect Over a Bike Build in Atlanta
This group of executives only gets together a couple of times a year. So they were a lively crowd from the moment the event began. With a full agenda starting the next morning, the evening was designed to give the team a low-pressure way to reconnect before the real work began.
The energy carried straight through the build and into dinner afterward. There, the group kept the conversation going late into the evening. For a team that doesn’t get face time together often, the night gave everyone a real chance to catch up before diving into the meetings ahead.
The bikes the group built went to kids through Agape Youth and Family Center. They are an Atlanta organization working to end generational poverty through academic support, enrichment programs, and mentorship for students ages five to 25, along with services for their families. Charity representative William Green accepted the bikes on behalf of the young people who will receive them.
