Huntington Beach City School District Build-A-Bike® Event in Huntington Beach, CA
Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event at their Preschool Academy in Huntington Beach, CA. Fifteen participants gathered for a collaborative experience designed to emphasize teamwork, efficiency, and the importance of relying on colleagues to achieve common goals. The event successfully reinforced these principles, while also giving back to the community by donating the assembled bikes to children in need.

HBCSD staff builds bikes and fosters teamwork in Huntington Beach, California
The Build-A-Bike® event provided an excellent opportunity for HBCSD staff to focus on the value of collaboration. Additionally, how leveraging one another’s strengths can lead to more efficient outcomes. During the activity, participants quickly realized that asking for help from colleagues made the process smoother and faster. The event not only allowed staff to strengthen their teamwork skills, however. It also helped reinforce HBCSD’s Shared Values of collaboration and support in the workplace.
By the end of the event, the team was thrilled to see the tangible results of their efforts. A brand new set of bicycles that would be donated to local children in need! The joy of giving back to the community and helping children underscored the lasting impact of their teamwork and reinforced the positive outcomes that can come from working together.
