Marquette Transportation Company Build-A-Bike® Event in Ledbetter, KY
Marquette Transportation Company hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team-building event at the scenic Marquette Lodge in Ledbetter, Kentucky. The event was part of a three-day leadership summit for a group of 15 emerging leaders from across the company. Participants came together to build bikes and strengthen relationships. Particularly, between those who work closely and those from more siloed departments. This outdoor event emphasized teamwork and collaboration, ultimately benefitting a local charity arranged by Marquette.

Marquette Transportation Company leaders unite for Build-A-Bike® event in Ledbetter, Kentucky
The Build-A-Bike® event was a key feature of Marquette’s leadership summit held at their lodge in Ledbetter, Kentucky. Fifteen emerging leaders participated, some of whom had collaborated closely in their roles while others were from more isolated areas of the company. This event gave the group an opportunity to build stronger connections and enhance teamwork skills. Working outdoors, surrounded by nature, the team successfully built bikes while reinforcing Marquette’s “Powered by Our People” ethos.
In addition to fostering team cohesion, the Build-A-Bike® event had a charitable component. The group donated the bikes they assembled to a local charity, arranged by Marquette, as part of their commitment to community support. This effort not only created a positive impact for the recipients but also allowed the participants to take pride in their work both as leaders and as contributors to a worthy cause.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Marquette Transportation Company for their dedication to building leadership within their organization and to the charity for their partnership in this meaningful event.
