Team Building Questions
The US and Canada! If your event is anywhere in one of these 2 countries we can work with you! If the event you are wanting to hold is outside of the United States or Canada; however, it’s still worth shooting us a message, as we have occasionally held events outside those countries.
Possibly. Many resorts/upscale hotels may charge a receiving fee to accept shipments on your behalf. (This will be in the fine print of your hotel/resort service contract.) Our team will help you reduce these fees as much as we can, but our agreement doesn’t cover any of these fees. Also, in some cases, your instructor (post-contract) may suggest alterations to the original agreement. Ex. Estimated travel may increase, or we may suggest changing the number of teams based on room setup. You’d have to approve changes in writing, though.
No. We start with a fun way to get the entire group interacting with each other. This first exercise ends by assembling the group into small teams of people naturally grouped with other team members that they typically wouldn’t interact with. This makes the team assembly natural, less forced, and fun.
Yes! Your instructor (onsite host) will meet with you and your executives via Zoom to tailor the content for your group. Each event typically has a slideshow, team table numbers, etc. If you want any of these materials branded for the meeting, let your instructor know during the consultation!
No. We ship via FedEx (or private carriers for large shipments.) We can share the tracking links with you if you like. The shipment should arrive 1-2 days before the event date. We ship the materials to the event address unless you specify otherwise.
Possibly. We typically like to use the same “general session” meeting room you are already using for your meeting whenever possible. However, some events require a different room setup and space. Your instructor will share a room diagram with you after your consultation. In some cases, it might be easier to adjust the number of teams (post-contract) to fit the room. Ex. We suggested 10 teams, but your general session room is set with 12 tables. It’s likely easier to add two teams to your quote versus changing room setup.
Once we have a signed agreement, we’ll send an invoice and a W9 form via email. A link will be provided to pay the invoice online if you like. We ask that the invoice be paid by the event date if possible. If you are paying by check or need us to register for payment setup, just let me know.
1 week at a minimum, preferably 2 weeks. With 2 weeks notice we can almost always make your event happen. If you have an event that needs a quick turn around though (as little as 1 week before), it’s always worth messaging us to see what we can do!
It depends! We have facilitators all over the USA stationed in several of the major cities and if your event is within range of one of them, no travel fee will be added! If, however, the commute is too far or a flight is necessary, an additional charge to accommodate travel and/or lodging may apply.
1-2 hours on average! However certain events run longer, certain events run shorter, and throwing in a training or leadership course can greatly extend the duration. Make sure to check the specific activity page for details on typical lengths for each event!
Yes! For every one of our team building activities, all you need to bring is yourself.
Charity Questions
Yes, but we don’t recommend it. In some cases, picking the wrong charity can cause logistical challenges or add additional costs to your program that you didn’t anticipate. Our team has relationships with thousands of different 501(c)3s, so we have experience in minimizing any unexpected challenges.
This can be risky, so we suggest just telling your group that the donation will be made to a local charity. Many of the charities we donate to are understaffed and underfunded. So, it’s important to be flexible. (Last-minute changes to the charity to be donated to can occur without a lot of notice.)
We handle them! Once you decide on the type of event and size of the donation, we will manage finding the charity and ensuring they receive the full donation in your name!
Often times, yes! For especially larger events, we have a long relationship with many of the charities we work with and can often times have either a member of the charity or the kids/teens that will be receiving your donations present!
Virtual Questions
No! All you need is whatever standard virtual meeting application you typically use and, depending on the activity, a browser.
It depends! Make sure to look at the event page for the activity you’re interested in as a couple of them have caps. Virtual events like Poseidon’s Plunder and My Rich Uncle are great virtual ways to accommodate a massive team!
Yes! The only requirement for the virtual activities is that everyone involved has a way of being seen and heard.
Classes Questions
No! Both our High Impact Leaders leadership courses and Fearless Presentations public speaking courses have publicly attendable classes every month! You can find out when (and in the case of Fearless Presentations, where) the next one is on the High Impact Leaders and Fearless Presentations pages.
Yes! Most of our team building activities allow you to add a Creating a Team Culture course onto them at an additional charge. This is the absolute best way to bring both learning and fun to your meeting and we highly recommend it.
