Baker Hughes hosted the Build-A-Bike ® team building exercise at the La Toretta Lake Resort and Spa in Montgomery, TX for 80 of their sales team. A top-tier oilfield service company with a century-long track record, Baker Hughes delivers solutions that help oil and gas operators make the most of their reservoirs. Collaboration is the foundation on which we build our business. The event was very lively, it was held during their reception hour before dinner. Scott, the contact for this event said this team is a very competitive group and they really enjoy themselves when the meetings for the day are over.
065The Build-A-Bike event teaches teamwork skills through a series of challenges which the teams are to complete. The tasks encourage the teams to think outside the box to come up with solutions while they are learning to work efficiently as a team. The opening exercise is just what the group needed after a long day of meetings. The overall lesson is that everyone works together to reach the same goal. The group participated and worked well with each other, there was a lot of team work going on in the room. The YMCA of Conroe, TX were present despite the storm to receive the bikes from the Baker Hughes group. At the end when the kids were playing with their new bikes Scott Schmidt looked at me and said “You didn’t tell me the kids were coming! I am moved to tears”
