Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Build-A-Bike® Event in Phoenix, AZ
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) held an impactful Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Phoenix, AZ. 175 members of BCBSAZ’s sales team gathered during their annual growth conference, aptly titled “On the Rise.” This event not only fostered team spirit, though. It also supported the local community by donating 18 bicycles to the Valley of the Sun YMCA.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona unites to build bikes for local youth in Phoenix, Arizona
The Build-A-Bike® event served as a dynamic break from the conference, engaging BCBSAZ’s sales team in meaningful collaboration and community contribution. Set against the urban backdrop of downtown Phoenix, the event not only enhanced team dynamics but also aligned with BCBSAZ’s corporate values of community engagement and health promotion. The interactive activity required teams to assemble bicycles, which were later donated to local children, making a tangible difference in the community.
Throughout the event, participants displayed exceptional teamwork and enthusiasm, crucial for the sales team’s ongoing development and success. The challenge of assembling the bikes provided a lively and competitive atmosphere, which was both fun and rewarding. By the end of the session, 18 fully assembled bikes stood ready to delight and inspire young riders from the Valley of the Sun YMCA.
