The Build-A-Bike® event took place during an all-day field day for 9th-12th grade students. The instructors had the students divided into eight house colors to compete against each other. The students arrived enthusiastically dressed in their house colors, ready to engage in friendly competition and teamwork activities. The event venue, Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School’s facility, played a significant role in creating an exciting and dynamic environment for the activities.

Throughout the day, the students participated in various team-building exercises, with the primary focus on assembling bicycles. This hands-on activity allowed them to practice collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills. The spirit of competition and camaraderie was high as each house team worked together to complete their bikes.

The event concluded with the donation of the assembled bicycles to the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens. This act of generosity added a meaningful aspect to the day, highlighting the importance of giving back to the community. The students felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that their efforts would bring joy and mobility to children in need.

We give a big thank you to Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School for their generous contribution to the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens. Their dedication to fostering teamwork and social responsibility among students is truly commendable.

We are excited to release three new charity team building events based on the Build-A-Bike ® program:
