Amgen’s late development and early development teams participated in separate Ace Race® activities during the same day. While the groups competed independently, both events featured the same energy and enthusiasm from start to finish.

Teams designed creative mini-golf holes using donated food items. Once the courses were finished, everyone raced to score aces on each hole they had built. The competition intensified as teammates shouted cheers at each other on every successful shot.

The living atmosphere continued throughout both sessions. Amgen’s team embraced the challenges, shared plenty of laughs, and brought a strong spirit to every part of the event. However, the real purpose was never lost.

By the end of the day, the two groups had collected and donated 450 pounds of non-perishable food to Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank. Edgar from Manna joined the events to speak with participants about the organization’s impact on the local community. He attended both sessions and personally collected the donated food items. His presence really helped everyone see the direct difference their efforts would make for local families facing food insecurity.

The event exhibited how teamwork, creativity, and community service can come together to create a memorable experience. Both Amgen teams left with stronger connections and the satisfaction of supporting an important local cause.

We would like to thank Amgen for its generous donation to Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank and for bringing such enthusiasm to both events. We also thank Edgar and the entire Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank team for their dedication to serving families throughout the community.
