ITC Holdings gathered 24 interns for a Build-A-Bike® team building event in Novi, Michigan on June 6th. The group arrived wearing matching blue shirts and brought competitive energy from the start. Teams completed four bicycles for CARES of Farmington Hills. The charity representative came, accepted the donation with genuine gratitude, and invited the group to continue volunteering in the community.

ITC Holdings Interns Compete Hard and Give Back at Inten Team Building Event in Novi
Twenty-four interns at the start of their careers showed up already knowing how to compete. The matching blue shirts were a sign before anyone said a word. Before the bike building began, the group played “Have You Ever” to warm up. It set the tone immediately of connection, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos.
Once the teams formed, they got to work earning parts through trivia and challenges. The competitive instincts that surfaced during warm up carried right into the event. Nobody needed to be told to push harder. This group pushed on its own.
The cheer contest became the event’s unexpected highlight. Teams went all in, and the results cracked up the judges. It proved that nobody in this group was afraid to be a little ridiculous in front of their peers. That willingness carries into real work too. An intern class that can laugh together and compete together is one that will do good things for ITC Holdings.
Once finished, the CARES of Farmington Hills representative stepped forward. The afternoon came together the way these events are supposed to.
