Initially, teams approached the challenge with the same determined focus they bring to their groundbreaking research, attempting to solve every clue independently. However, much like their approach to pioneering new treatments, they soon discovered that breakthrough success required collaboration across teams. The turning point came when participants realized that the solution lay not in individual team excellence, but in cross-team cooperation. This shift in mindset led to accelerated progress and successful completion of the bicycle assembly challenge. The completed bikes, donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley, represented not just their technical achievement but also their growth in understanding the power of collaboration.
