Avis Budget Group Corporate Bike Build in Dallas, TX

Avis Budget Group hosted a corporate bike build in Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 29, 2026. 14 team members took part during a strategic segment meeting. The group met at The Statler Dallas, Curio Collection by Hilton, for an afternoon session. Together, they built four bikes for Dallas CASA. It was the company’s second Build-A-Bike® event with The Leaders Institute in about a month.

Avis Budget Group Builds Bikes for Foster Kids in Dallas, Texas

This event had a backstory. On Sept. 29, 2026, another Avis Budget Group team met in Austin, Texas. That group built four bikes for The Settlement Home for Children. When the next team meeting landed in Dallas, the company wanted this group to have the same experience. The timing worked out well. Two leaders from the Austin event came along to judge this time. They got to watch their own team go through the activity, just like they had a month earlier.

Colleen Staneart led the session at The Statler. Teams solved challenges to earn bike parts, then put the bikes together. There were plenty of laughs along the way. At the end, a representative from Dallas CASA spoke to the group. She arrived early with a car big enough for all four bikes and kept her remarks short. Her message still landed. One team member got misty-eyed hearing about the kids the bikes would serve.

Dallas CASA received all four bikes. Its volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for children removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. For many of these kids, that volunteer is the one steady adult during foster care. We’d like to thank Patricia Delgado and the Avis Budget Group team for bringing us back so soon. We’d also like to thank Dallas CASA for the work it does for Dallas children.
