Bank of America Build-A-Bike® Event in Charlotte, NC 2025
Bank of America hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event at their Charlotte, NC headquarters on March 12, 2025. The annual gathering brought together 230 first and second year associates from Global Markets and Global Operations for an energizing afternoon of teamwork and giving back. With 30 teams building bikes, the event culminated in a donation to local children through the Stratford Richardson YMCA.

Bank of America Associates Build Bikes for Charlotte Youth in North Carolina
This Build-A-Bike® event is a tradition for new Bank of America associates, designed to blend professional development with community impact. Teams from the Global Markets and Global Operations divisions came together at the Bank of America Center in downtown Charlotte to work collaboratively, strengthen interpersonal connections, and have some fun outside of the office. Despite the competitive format, the true goal of the day was mutual support and impactful collaboration. With 230 participants divided into 30 teams, the event buzzed with energy as colleagues built quick for a great cause.
The Stratford Richardson YMCA, a longtime community partner, accepted the donation and even brought several children to participate in the celebration. Watching the kids light up as they selected their brand-new bikes was a moving reminder of the event’s purpose. The YMCA serves youth throughout the Charlotte area, providing opportunities for health, education, and personal growth. This partnership helped ensure that the hard work of the Bank of America team would have a lasting impact on the lives of local children.
