Cisco Systems participated in a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Milpitas, CA. The event brought together 40 corporate strategists for a meaningful conclusion to their three-day Corporate Strategy Offsite. As direct reports to the CEO, this high-level group aimed to reinforce their offsite themes of collaboration and respectful interaction through charitable team building.

Cisco Systems Corporate Strategy Team Concludes Offsite with Build-A-Bike® Charity Event Near San Jose, California

The Build-A-Bike® event served as the perfect capstone to Cisco’s three-day Corporate Strategy Offsite. The timing and nature of the activity aligned seamlessly with the offsite’s core themes of collaboration and fostering respectful interactions among team members. The event provided these high-level strategists with a hands-on opportunity to put their leadership principles into practice while giving back to the community.

The event transformed into a powerful demonstration of Cisco’s commitment to both team development and community impact. As direct reports to the CEO, these strategists embraced the challenge of bike assembly. They acted with the same dedication they bring to corporate planning. Teams worked collaboratively to construct bicycles, putting their strategic thinking skills to use in a unique and meaningful way.

The bicycles assembled during the event were donated to the Shop with a Cop Foundation of Silicon Valley. This organization works to build positive relationships between law enforcement and local youth. This partnership allowed Cisco’s team-building efforts to create lasting impact in their local community, embodying the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
