Convergint Technologies hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Schaumburg, IL. With forty-one participants, this event served as the culmination of a planning meeting for various group leaders within the organization. What began as a surprise activity with participants unaware of what they would be doing quickly transformed into an engaging and meaningful experience. Within minutes, the Convergint team was fully immersed in the bicycle-building challenge. It culminated in a heartwarming moment when children from the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois arrived to receive their new bikes.

Convergint Technologies Leaders Unite for Build-A-Bike® Event in Schaumburg, Illinois
The Build-A-Bike® event provided an unexpected and refreshing conclusion to Convergint’s planning meeting for group leaders. Initially, participants appeared hesitant as they had no prior knowledge of the activity they would be undertaking. However, this uncertainty quickly dissolved as the teams engaged with the bicycle assembly challenge. By just six minutes into the event, enthusiasm had visibly increased with participants actively collaborating and strategizing to complete their bikes.
As the event progressed, the Convergint team’s service-oriented culture became evident in their approach to the activity. Their daily focus on delivering excellent service to customers translated seamlessly into building quality bicycles for children in need. The true highlight of the day occurred when representatives from the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois arrived with the children who would receive the bicycles. The Convergint team’s reaction was one of pure elation. They witnessed firsthand the impact of their teamwork on the faces of the children. This powerful moment reinforced Convergint’s commitment to community service and provided a tangible example of how their corporate values extend beyond the workplace.
