Froehling & Robertson, Inc. Ace Race® Event in Greensboro, NC

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. kicked off their multi-day conference with an Ace Race® charity team building event at The Grandover Resort and Spa in Greensboro, NC. With 44 participants, the event served as an effective icebreaker while providing valuable insights into team dynamics. Building on their Core Strengths programming and SDI evaluations, the Ace Race® activity allowed team members to observe their working styles and conflict resolution approaches in real time under pressure. Their collaborative efforts resulted in the creation of a mini-golf course made from non-perishable food items. They then donated the food to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank.

Froehling & Robertson, Inc., established in 1881, holds the distinction of being the oldest independent consulting engineering and testing firm in the United States. Froehling & Robertson team unites for Ace Race® event in Greensboro, North Carolina

The Ace Race® event provided an energetic start to Froehling & Robertson’s conference. It created an engaging platform for team members to connect. As the first activity in their multi-day gathering, it successfully broke the ice among participants who would be collaborating throughout the conference. The elegant setting of The Grandover Resort and Spa offered a perfect backdrop for this team-building initiative. Thus setting a positive tone for the days ahead.

During the event, F&R team members worked collaboratively to construct a mini-golf course using non-perishable food items. Overall, this creative challenge aligned perfectly with the company’s Core Strengths programming focus, as participants had previously completed SDI evaluations to assess their motivational and conflict resolution styles. The Ace Race® provided a practical, real-time demonstration of these dynamics as teams navigated the pressures of competition and collaboration. Additionaly, team members could observe firsthand how their individual strengths contributed to the collective effort. It also showed them how they adapted under pressure—valuable insights they could carry forward into their professional interactions. After teams raced to achieve holes-in-one on each section of the course, the food items used to create the course were donated to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, adding meaningful community impact to their team development experience.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Froehling & Robertson, Inc. for their generous food donation to help those facing food insecurity. We also thank the 2nd Harvest Food Bank for their crucial work in fighting hunger throughout the community.

Looking for an engaging kickoff to your next multi-day conference? Start strong with our Ace Race® charity team building event in Greensboro, NC!
