Lafarge Rescue Bear 2010 I just finished a charity team building event in Alabama, for Lafarge North America.  For those of you who don’t know, Lafarge is the company that built the five soccer stadiums in South Africa for the World Cup that ended last week.   Lafarge donated 10 new hand-made stuffed animals to the local Hoover fire department to be used for comforting children in need at any emergency situation.  Captain Neil Dipiano, from the Hoover fire department, was there with three of his team to receive the gives.  As he received the donations, he talked about how valuable it is to have bears and toys for children at the scene of an accident or in case of a fire when the family is in crisis or experiencing a major loss.  Lafarge, through a simple act of kindness and generosity, is making a difference in their community.
