NLC Mutual Insurance Company hosted an Amazing Builders charity team-building event at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This event, part of their annual staff retreat, brought together 15 participants for a fun and collaborative experience. The group navigated the Amazing Builders obstacle course, working together to fill nine backpacks with school supplies for donation. The event concluded with a heartfelt contribution to Charity’s Hope Community Resource Center, a local organization that supports families in need.
Founded in 1986, six state league-sponsored risk pools crated NLC Mutual Insurance Company to address the challenges of a turbulent insurance market. Supported by the National League of Cities, NLC Mutual now represents 28 member-powered risk pools. They provide insurance coverage to thousands of cities, towns, and villages across the United States. With a focus on public entity risk pools, NLC Mutual offers a range of reinsurance solutions. That includes liability, property, and workers’ compensation coverage, driven by their deep underwriting and actuarial expertise.

The Amazing Builders event at the Broadmoor Hotel provided NLC Mutual’s staff with a unique and engaging team-building experience. Participants navigated the course by working in teams to collect school supplies, which were then packed into nine backpacks. The activity promoted collaboration, problem-solving, and communication, while giving the team a chance to connect and have fun. Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Broadmoor, the event allowed participants to step out of the boardroom and into an exciting, hands-on challenge.
The highlight of the event was the donation of the backpacks filled with school supplies. They donated them to Charity’s Hope Community Resource Center, an organization dedicated to helping families in need. The contribution from NLC Mutual will help provide local children with essential school materials. Thus, showcasing the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
