Notion is a leading productivity and collaboration platform used by millions of teams worldwide. The San Francisco team brought the same creativity and energy to the bike-building floor that they bring to their product every day.

Notion’s 135-Person Team Builds 14 Bikes for City of Dreams at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco

75 minutes. 135 people. 14 bikes. Somewhere in the middle of it, a cheer contest broke out. Complete with handmade paper moustaches that teams had crafted as part of the activity. The Notion team didn’t just participate in Build-A-Bike®; they made it their own.

The energy was what you’d call happy chaos — loud, fast-moving, and genuinely fun. Teams worked through collaborative challenges to earn their bike parts. Competitive spirit kept the room moving the entire 75 minutes. When a set of pedals went missing mid-event, nobody panicked. They problem-solved, adapted, and kept building.

The 14 bikes built by the Notion team were donated to City of Dreams. They are a nonprofit supporting youth in San Francisco. Kareem attended the event in person to receive the bikes. Bringing a face to the cause and turning the handoff into one of those moments the whole room paused for.

We’d like to thank the Notion team for their incredible energy and creativity throughout the event, and Kareem and City of Dreams for the important work they do for kids in San Francisco.
