NTT Global hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Tempe, AZ. This event brought together 12 leaders during a three-day offsite. The goal was to improve collaboration after a recent global expansion. The group used this hands-on experience to strengthen communication and open dialogue. By the end, the team successfully built four bikes for local children.

NTT Global Leaders Strengthen Collaboration at Build-A-Bike® Team Building Event in Tempe, Arizona
The Build-A-Bike® event served as a peak point during the leadership offsite. NTT Global had recently expanded, which created a necessity for strong communication across the teams. The bike build gave leaders a shared goal that required cooperation and trust to manage the task at end. As teams worked together, conversations became more open and productive. The competitive element added energy, while the shared purpose kept everyone aligned. By the end, the group operated with greater unity and clarity.
The activity also created a meaningful connection to the local community. Each team contributed to building bikes that would support children through the YMCA. The YMCA Senior Program Director, Nick Nigh, attended the event with four kids. They accepted the bikes in person, creating a powerful and memorable moment. Seeing the direct impact of their work reinforced the team’s sense of purpose. This experience helped bridge internal collaboration with external community impact.
