TC Energy hosted a Build-A-Bike® Combo bicycle building event in Houston, TX. The event took place during the company’s U.S. Safety All-Hands meeting. Forty-five participants gathered to strengthen communication and reinforce shared values. The group included seasoned leaders, new team members, senior management, and individual contributors. Each participant plays a role in shaping safety culture across the organization.

The Combo event began with customized activities focused on communication and trust. The team shared strong values, including One Team and Safety in Every Step. Leaders wanted to ensure an “us versus them” mindset never developed. The opening exercises built rapport and encouraged open dialogue. Participants practiced active listening and reinforced personal accountability. These early moments created a foundation of trust and genuine connection across roles.
Once trust was established, the group transitioned into a high-energy Build-A-Bike® experience. Teams collaborated with purpose and focused on shared problem-solving. The activity brought company values to life through action. Collaboration replaced competition as teams worked toward a common goal. The workshop concluded with a heartfelt donation to Mission of Yahweh. The shelter supports women and children escaping domestic violence. Donating bikes and helmets turned teamwork into a tangible act of compassion. The moment reinforced what One Team can truly accomplish together.
