UnitedHealthcare Build-A-Bike® Team Building Event in New York, NY

On Aug. 31, UnitedHealthcare hosted a Build-A-Bike® team-building event in New York, NY. The event capped off a multi-day trip for 22 high-level leaders. The leaders, who had traveled in for meetings at the beginning of Q3, closed out their time together by building four bikes for kids through BronxConnect.

UnitedHealthcare is a health benefits company and operating division of UnitedHealth Group. They are the largest single health carrier in the United States. They offer insurance plans and member programs to individuals, families, and Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries nationwide.

UnitedHealthcare Leaders Close Out NYC Trip by Giving Back With Build-A-Bike® Team Building Event

This group of high-level leaders had traveled to New York City for meetings at the beginning of Q3. The client built the Build-A-Bike® as a way to wrap up their time together. She had participated in the program before and knew exactly how much her team would enjoy it. Our instructor led the group through a build designed to give the leaders a fun, meaningful send-off rather than just another closing meeting.

The experience gave the team a hands-on way to close out their trip while strengthening the connections and collaboration they’d built over the course of their meetings.

The four finished bikes went to kids through BronxConnect. They are a community and faith-based organization that works to keep young people out of the justice system. They do this through alternative-to-incarceration programs, violence intervention, and reentry services across the Bronx and Manhattan.

We would like to thank UnitedHealthcare for allowing us to be part of their event. We would also like to thank BronxConnect for the incredible work they do for the community.
