This Teddy Bear team-building activity offers comfort to kids who have been through trauma while building teamwork within your group. This program is both a team-building event and a leadership development workshop.

Team games help your group identify their coworkers’ strengths and have a lot of fun in the process. The groups then use some creative problem-solving to tackle a series of challenges.

For every win, the team members earn the materials needed to build a bear. This charity challenge ends when each animal is stuffed to huggable perfection!

Subtle Four Temperaments Personality Test​ Builds Teamwork

Rescue Bear ® is one of the original charity team-building events. It’s both a fun way to build teamwork and an interactive leadership training workshop. Here is a sample agenda:

  • We start with a fun (and very interactive) version of the four temperaments personality test.
  • ​Participants are subtly divided into teams based on the four temperaments.
  • Then, each team solves challenges based on the strengths of their personality to earn each part of the stuffed animals.
  • During the process, they realize they need the strengths of the other personalities to build the bears, though!

Originally, we created this activity to build teddy bears that rescue workers could give as comfort items to kids who experienced a loss. Over the years, though, we have discovered so many additional uses for the Rescue Bears ®.

For instance, the Child Rescue Coalition works with SVU Detectives to help kids escape from human traffickers. We want every one of these kids to get a Rescue Bear ®.
