SHI Employees Donate To YMCA During Build-A-Bike® Team Building Event in Warren, New Jersey

Coordinating 300 people into a focused team event requires a format built for scale. Build-A-Bike® handles that by dividing a large group into smaller competing teams. Each team earns bike components by completing timed challenges before the build begins. The competition creates real urgency — what each team earns determines what they have to work with. Once the bikes were built, they were donated to the Somerset County YMCA.

Megeen Dolan Laska from the Greater Somerset County YMCA accepted the bike donation at the event. She earned a perfect 5 out of 5 rating from the SHI team. The YMCA serves Warren and Somerset County through youth development programs, fitness and wellness resources, and community services. The bikes go directly into the programs the organization runs for families across the region.

We’d like to thank SHI for building an event that gave back to the community they work in every day. We would also like to thank the Somerset County YMCA for the incredible work they do for the community.
