Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation gathered 50 participants at the Hilton Granite Park. They closed out a full professional development day with a bike-building team charity event in Plano, Texas. The bikes were donated to CASA of Tarrant County to support abused and neglected children in the court system.

Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation’s Bike Building Team Event in Plano, Texas Supports CASA of Tarrant County
After a full day of professional development sessions, the Cornerstone team wasn’t done — they saved the best part for last. Build-A-Bike® gave the group a chance to shift gears, work with their hands, and compete in a way that felt completely different from a conference room exercise.
Teams worked through collaborative challenges to earn the parts needed to assemble their bikes. The energy in the room picked up quickly. There’s something about building for a real purpose that cut through the end-of-day fatigue and got everyone locked in.
CASA of Tarrant County trains and supervises volunteer advocates who speak up for abused and neglected children in the court system. The bikes built by the Cornerstone Foundation team went directly to support the children CASA serves — a tangible outcome that matched the spirit of everything the Foundation stands for.
