This event marked the second occasion for participants of the Aegion University program to engage in this spirited and charitable activity. The Build-A-Bike® event at Aegion Corporation was a vibrant affair. This was due in part to the creation of team flags and cheers—an activity from the team’s previous team building event that this group eagerly looked forward to. For this team, racing to assemble bikes was just part of the fun. What they really enjoyed was showcasing their unity and company spirit through creative displays. Overall, these elements of the event brought an added layer of enthusiasm and competition.
The participants were highly motivated, and they built the bikes quickly. Notably, after the first team completed their bike, they didn’t stop. Instead, they joined forces with their colleagues to help in building the remaining bicycles. This act of collaboration underscores the core values of Aegion—teamwork and mutual support. Which, of course, are essential in their mission to strengthen infrastructure worldwide.
The team donated the assembled bicycles to Fathers and Family. This local charity is dedicated to strengthening family bonds and supporting community welfare. This contribution from Aegion’s team will provide joy and mobility to many children. Overall, it echoed Aegion’s commitment to enhancing community life through practical and meaningful actions.
