argenx hosted a bicycle team-building activity in Boston, Massachusetts, on Oct. 22, 2026. Fifty employees gathered at the company’s U.S. headquarters in a downtown Boston skyscraper. The event was part of a larger film tour. argenx sponsored a cyclist in the United Kingdom, and a film now tells the story of his journey. The 10 teams built 10 bikes for the Wang YMCA of Chinatown.
argenx is an immunology company focused on autoimmune diseases. It works with researchers, clinicians, and patients to create new treatments. Its key product, VYVGART, is approved in the U.S. for adults with generalized myasthenia gravis.
argenx Team Builds Bikes for Chinatown Kids in Boston, Massachusetts
The event followed a coffee talk with a cyclist, an argenx sponsor, who is receiving life-saving treatment. Then, the group watched a video about a cyclist who overcame illness and adversity. His hard work and determination carried him through. Inspired by his story, the attendees turned to bikes of their own. Rebecca Rivas led the group through Build-A-Bike®. The 50 attendees split into 10 teams. Each team solved challenges to earn bike parts, then assembled a brand-new bicycle.
The group had a special guest in the room, too. A service dog named Cooper joined the event. The teams built the bikes so local children could learn to ride. Biking gives kids freedom and joy, and that idea ran through the whole session. By the end, all 10 teams had finished their bikes.
The 10 bikes will go to kids at the Wang YMCA of Chinatown. Its Oak Street building opened in 2000. The Y offers child care, programs for at-risk youth, and wellness activities for seniors. We’d like to thank Laurie Meyers and the argenx team for having us. We’d also like to thank the Wang YMCA of Chinatown for the work it does in the community.
