Moog Inc. hosted a charity duffel bag team activity in East Aurora, New York, on Oct. 6, 2026. Forty-five employee resource group leaders gathered at the Hampton Inn East Aurora. The group included new, continuing, and outgoing leaders from Buffalo and several other states. The activity closed out the final morning of their two-day trip. Along the way, teams packed duffel bags for Say Yes Buffalo.

Moog Leaders Pack Charity Duffel Bags in East Aurora, New York
This group had done a Build-A-Bike® event with us before. This time, they wanted to shake things up. They asked for a high-energy, competitive activity that would test their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills freshly. The goal was to help everyone feel more connected, including the outgoing leaders. Eight teams worked through light-hearted challenges to earn the items for their duffel bags. The group brought incredible energy to the room. It didn’t take long for the competitive spirit to take over! Participants cracked jokes, shared laughs, and playfully challenged one another from start to finish.
One team quickly emerged as a standout. It took the lead and won event after event. But that team was also the first to step away from its own competition to cheer on the other teams. Its enthusiasm showed that supporting one another mattered just as much as winning. That mix of friendly rivalry and real camaraderie brought the whole group together. These leaders got a chance to connect outside their usual work setting and strengthen relationships. They wrapped up the morning just before heading home. They left on a high note, full of laughter and a renewed sense of connection.
The teams filled eight duffel bags with essential items for Say Yes Buffalo. Say Yes Buffalo works to remove barriers to education and career success for young people in Buffalo. It offers scholarships to graduates of Buffalo’s public and charter schools. It also supports students and their families from pre-K through 12th grade. We want to thank Sharon Greenfield and Moog Inc. for inviting us back. We’d also like to thank Say Yes Buffalo for the work it does for the city’s young people.
