BASF Summer Interns Team Up for Build-A-Bike® Event in Short Hills, New Jersey

The Build-A-Bike® event provided an excellent opportunity for BASF’s summer interns. It allowed them to break the ice and start their internships on a high note. Set against the backdrop of the Hilton Short Hills, the event was a vibrant mix of collaboration and friendly competition. The interns, all current college students, were divided into teams and tasked with assembling bicycles for donation. This hands-on experience encouraged the interns to enhance their communication and problem-solving skills. All in all, key attributes that will serve them well throughout their careers at BASF.

Beyond team building, the event had a significant charitable component. The bicycles assembled by the interns were donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Union County, an organization dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and teens. The donation brought smiles to many young faces, reinforcing the interns’ understanding of the impact their work can have on the community. The event successfully combined BASF’s commitment to social responsibility with the professional development of its future talent.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to BASF for their generosity and to Augeo for organizing this impactful event. We also express our gratitude to the Boys and Girls Club of Union County for their continued dedication to supporting local youth.
