Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois Hosts Build-A-Bike® Event in Chicago, Illinois
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event at their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Originally planned for 40 participants, the event turned out to be an intimate gathering of 9 dedicated leaders from BCBSIL. Despite the smaller group, the participants were enthusiastic and committed to the cause. All in all, this dedicated group built and donated six bicycles to the Chicago YMCA.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois leaders unite for Build-A-Bike® event in Chicago, Illinois
The Build-A-Bike® event served as the concluding activity for a full day of leadership training for BCBSIL’s leaders. Despite the smaller-than-expected turnout, the nine participants worked diligently and collaboratively to assemble six bicycles. This hands-on activity provided an excellent opportunity for these leaders to apply their training in a practical, engaging manner. Additionally, it was a great opportunity to foster teamwork and enhance problem-solving skills.
They donated the completed bicycles to the Chicago YMCA. This local organization dedicates itself to supporting youth and fostering a sense of community. The leaders of BCBSIL were pleased to contribute to such a worthy cause. After all, they knew their efforts would bring joy and mobility to children in need.
