BW Converting gathered for a charity bike building event in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Forty-eight managers came together at the BW Converting facility for a company meeting. The group set out to strengthen communication and improve how teams worked together. Recent organizational changes had affected morale, so the event gave participants a chance to reconnect in a completely different way. Teams wrapped up the program by assembling bicycles for local children through the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region.

BW Converting Managers Connect Through a Charity Bike Building Event in Green Bay, Wisconsin

The managers who arrived for this event came with more than just bikes on their agenda. Organizational changes had created friction between teams and made everyday communication harder than it needed to be. The Build-A-Bike® program gave the group a chance to step away from those challenges and work alongside colleagues in a fresh setting.

As teams tackled the early challenges, the competitive edge began to soften. Managers who rarely crossed paths found themselves trading parts and calling out tips across the room. Throughout the program, participants focused less on winning and more on working through each step together. By the time teams put the last bikes together, the room felt noticeably different from where it started.

The completed bikes went to local children through the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region. The organization supports youth development across northeastern Wisconsin, connecting young people with programs that help them reach their full potential. For many in the group, the donation gave the afternoon a purpose that went beyond the competition itself.

We appreciate BW Converting for bringing us in for this event. We’d also like to thank the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region for the meaningful work they do for young people throughout the area.
