The event was part of their annual budget kickoff meeting, designed to help their team bond while giving back to the community. With 22 participants, including property managers and third-party vendors, the event fostered a family-like atmosphere. It further strengthened this already tight-knit group. As a leading commercial healthcare real estate company, Flagship has a long-standing commitment to serving the healthcare community. This event was a testament to their values of collaboration and community support.

Flagship Healthcare Properties comes together for a Rescue Bear® event in Charlotte, North Carolina

Flagship Healthcare Properties brought together 22 team members for a Rescue Bear® event that was both impactful and heartwarming. The event was recommended by a friend’s company as a meaningful way to build connections and give back. The participants, who were mostly property managers, were joined by third-party partners such as lawn care, roofing, and pest control companies. This diverse group, familiar and comfortable with one another, created a warm and collaborative environment throughout the event.

The day took on special significance when Sara Simmons, a Flagship employee, shared her personal story about losing her daughter to cancer. This heartfelt moment added more depth to the event, as the team had chosen to support the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital in her daughter’s memory. Kathy Nesbitt, who was instrumental in coordinating with St. Jude’s, also shared her story, deepening the emotional connection of the group to the cause. Their stories moved the team, creating a shared sense of purpose and solidarity.

Sharon Breeding, a representative from St. Jude’s, concluded the event with positive remarks about how the hospital supports children and families. The team was highly engaged and left the event with a strong sense of accomplishment. The energy from the event was palpable long after it ended, with participants still “buzzing” hours later.

We extend our deepest thanks to Flagship Healthcare Properties for their generosity and to the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital for the incredible work they do. It was an honor to be part of such a meaningful and impactful event.
