Nineteen team members from their remote workforce came together to strengthen connections while creating comfort items for children in need. The Rescue Bear® event served as a centerpiece of FTI’s annual in-person gathering. All in all, it transformed a necessary business meeting into an opportunity for meaningful connection. The New York City location provided an energetic backdrop for remote team members to build relationships that would sustain them throughout the year of virtual collaboration.
During the event, team members who typically interact through screens and conference calls had the opportunity to work side by side on a meaningful project. The process of creating comfort bears for children brought out personal sides of colleagues that often remain hidden in professional virtual interactions. As teams worked through leadership development challenges and bear-building activities, conversations naturally flowed beyond work topics, creating deeper understanding and stronger bonds. The bears donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Queens represented not just their charitable contribution but also the strength of connections formed during this rare in-person gathering.
