General Motors Managers Strengthen Connections at Sandestin Golf With a Bike Building Team Activity in Destin, Florida
The 30 managers gathered at Sandestin Golf for the final day of their meeting. They wanted an engaging activity that would unite a diverse leadership group. We divided them into teams and launched the Build-A-Bike® challenge. Each team raced to assemble a bicycle while solving fun team challenges. Energy filled the room as friendly competition took over. Managers communicated clearly and supported one another under pressure. They focused on collaboration instead of titles. As the final bikes came together, cheers echoed across the space. The event created shared victories and lasting memories.
At the conclusion, representatives from the Boys & Girls Club of Emerald Coast arrived with six children. Each child received one of the six completed bikes. The managers watched the kids roll forward with huge smiles. The moment created an emotional ending that united the entire group. Many participants admitted it was the highlight of their meeting.
