Gilbane hosted a bike charity team building event in Atlanta, GA. One hundred thirteen participants gathered at the College Football Hall of Fame during an executive meeting. The event brought together leaders from three separate divisions of the company. This marked the first time these groups collaborated in person in the company’s 156-year history. Leaders wanted an activity that encouraged cross collaboration and connection. The Build-A-Bike® challenge delivered exactly that while also supporting a local elementary school.

Gilbane Leaders Collaborate During Build-A-Bike® Bike Team Building Event in Atlanta, Georgia
The Build-A-Bike® activity created the perfect setting for Gilbane’s leadership teams to connect. Participants represented three divisions that usually operate as separate companies. This meeting marked the first time these groups collaborated together in person. Teams worked through engaging challenges to earn the parts needed for their bicycles. As the activity progressed, participants shared ideas, solved problems, and celebrated small victories. The collaborative energy helped break down barriers and encourage new connections across the leadership group.
The completed bicycles carried special meaning for the entire group. Gilbane selected South Douglas Elementary School as the recipient of the donation. The school is also one of the company’s clients, which made the moment feel especially meaningful. Leaders felt proud of the bikes they built together during the event. The donation reflected both teamwork and the company’s commitment to supporting the communities they serve.
We extend a big thank you to Gilbane for supporting students through this Build-A-Bike® event. We also appreciate the partnership with South Douglas Elementary School.
