Google Teams Build Bikes for Unhoused Youth Near San Jose, California
The Build-A-Bike® event served as the capstone to Google’s October summit. Teams collaborated to assemble four bicycles, strengthening their interpersonal connections while creating tangible impact. The activity provided a hands-on opportunity for employees to work together outside their typical roles.
The completed bicycles were donated to Chase Love, working in partnership with the PAL Center in Redwood City. These bikes were distributed to unhoused children during holiday drives throughout November and December. The initiative, coordinated by Tito Alvarez, connects multiple organizations across San Jose and San Francisco to support local families in need.
We thank Google for their contribution to Bay Area youth. Special appreciation to Chase Love and the PAL Center for their dedication to supporting unhoused families.
