HSA Bank Builds Bikes for Charity Event in Carlsbad, CA
HSA Bank hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Carlsbad, CA. With 180 participants, this activity provided a welcome break from their multi-day annual meeting where colleagues had been primarily sitting through presentations. The event took place at the beautiful Westin Carlsbad Resort and Spa. Thus offering a refreshing change of pace and environment for team members who had traveled from across the country to attend the annual gathering.

The Build-A-Bike® event offered a dynamic opportunity for HSA Bank’s nationwide team to step away from meeting rooms and engage in meaningful, hands-on teamwork. With 140 colleagues working together, the activity transformed their annual meeting into an energetic collaboration session. Team members who normally interact remotely were able to connect on a personal level while working toward a common charitable goal, strengthening internal relationships and building camaraderie in the process.
During the event, HSA Bank employees successfully built 30 bicycles for the San Diego Bicycle Collective. The impact of their donation was significant and heartfelt, with the charity expressing immense gratitude for the contribution. The San Diego Bicycle Collective, which serves the entire San Diego County, already had homes selected for these new bikes, ensuring that the team’s efforts would directly benefit children in need throughout the region. The knowledge that their teamwork would bring joy to specific children added a powerful emotional dimension to the activity.
