Informa held an inspiring Build-A-Bike® team-building event at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. There, 60 emerging leaders gathered to support Boston Public Schools. This event marked the beginning of a kickoff summit, uniting team members from different regions. In fact, half the group even flew in from Europe. This initiative not only brought together a dynamic group of leaders, however. It also gave them the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to local schools by building and donating bikes to students.

The Build-A-Bike® event served as an exciting kickoff to Informa’s summit. It enabled emerging leaders to build relationships and strengthen bonds across borders. The group, a mix of U.S.-based team members and European colleagues, collaborated in friendly competition to assemble bicycles for students in Boston Public Schools. Throughout the activity, participants worked together to solve challenges, combining their unique perspectives to complete the task and cultivate teamwork.
The event was not only about building bikes but also about building a sense of community and responsibility. Participants expressed excitement and fulfillment as they saw the impact of their efforts firsthand, knowing the bikes they created would help children in the local area. For Informa, this initiative aligned with their values. Which includes knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and social responsibility. All in all, it provided an opportunity for their emerging leaders to give back.
