LANXESS Build-A-Bike® Event in Newark, NJ
LANXESS, a leading specialty chemicals company, hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event at the Hilton DoubleTree Newark Penn Station in Newark, NJ. Seventy-five scientists and engineers participated in total. They stepped away from a day of serious panels to engage in a fun and hands-on activity. All in all, the event provided a lively atmosphere filled with laughter and teamwork as participants worked together to build bikes for local children in need.

LANXESS scientists and engineers unite for Build-A-Bike® event in Newark, New Jersey
The Build-A-Bike® event was a refreshing change of pace for LANXESS employees. Until then, they had spent the day in serious discussions and panels. The group, comprised mostly of scientists and engineers, enjoyed the opportunity to let loose. Additionally, they shared some laughs and got their hands dirty building bikes. The room was filled with humor and good-natured competition as teams raced to assemble their bikes for a great cause. This engaging event allowed participants to bond and demonstrate their collaborative skills in a relaxed, fun environment.
At the end of the event, the completed bikes were donated to Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center, an organization dedicated to helping children who have experienced abuse and neglect. LANXESS employees were proud to know their efforts would directly impact the lives of children in need, making the day not only enjoyable but deeply meaningful. The donation highlighted LANXESS’s commitment to sustainability, not only in environmental efforts but in fostering social responsibility.
