MSLS members build bikes for charity in Orlando, Florida
At their 12th Annual Conference, MSLS attendees participated in a Build-A-Bike® event that combined networking, teamwork, and philanthropy. Participants were split into teams, racing against the clock to build brand new bicycles. The end goal: to donate them to children in underprivileged communities! Despite some attendees not being able to participate, the 70 individuals who joined the event brought high energy and excitement. Overall, it was a great success. The activity allowed MSL professionals to bond, work collaboratively, and enjoy a sense of accomplishment as they completed the bicycles.
The event concluded with a heartwarming moment as representatives from the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade and the YMCA of South Florida spoke about the impact of the donations. YMCA even brought three children—Josiah, Jeremy, and Janelle—who were thrilled to receive their brand-new bikes. Seeing the joy on the children’s faces was a touching reminder of the positive difference the event made. The Build-A-Bike® activity was an excellent way to end the first day of the conference, fostering not only professional connections but also community goodwill. Participants capped off the evening with a happy hour, reflecting on the rewarding experience.
We extend our gratitude to the Medical Science Liaison Society for their continued partnership and for their commitment to supporting local charities. A special thank you to the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade and the YMCA of South Florida for their work in the community.
