NASA Build-A-Bike team event Team activities at the office don’t have to be boring. Easier said than done sometimes. Not when you work in the operations department of NASA. A mere few miles from the launch site. Our instructors, Doug and Kelsey, were lucky enough to lead an event at the Kennedy Space Center. Coincidentally, a space launch was scheduled the same day as the activity.

While much of Florida is rebuilding and settling back into normalcy after Hurricane Ian, this crew was ready to go! Our lovely instructors split the staff into small groups. Each small group created the teams necessary for the event. Then, teams blasted off into deciphering various puzzles and riddles.

Each correct puzzle earned a bicycle part. Once all of the pieces were gathered, teams assembled a bike. Each bike is generously donated for kids within the community to use.
