Takeda Build-A-Bike® Event in Bretton Woods, NH
Takeda hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event during the GI² Summit in Bretton Woods, NH on October 22nd. This two-day retreat brought together 220 employees, most traveling from Cambridge, MA, with several international attendees joining as well. The Build-A-Bike® activity created a meaningful shared experience that blended teamwork, energy, and purpose.

Takeda Employees Come Together for a Build-A-Bike® Team Building Charity Event in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire
The GI² Summit served as a two-day retreat designed to strengthen connection across Takeda’s team. Employees from Cambridge and beyond worked together to assemble brand-new bicycles. The large group embraced the challenge and stayed engaged through every step of the build. With participants from different regions and backgrounds, the activity helped create stronger communication and deeper collaboration.
The Build-A-Bike® experience also gave the team a chance to support the local community. Each completed bicycle represented a shared effort and a shared purpose. The atmosphere stayed upbeat as teams completed their bikes and prepared for the charity reveal. Their enthusiasm highlighted their commitment to both teamwork and giving back.
Josiah Bartlett Elementary School arrived to receive the donated bicycles and was thrilled with the generous gift. Their representatives were excited and grateful, expressing how much the bikes would mean to local students. The heartfelt reaction made the moment even more meaningful for the Takeda team.
