The Amazing Builders event in Scottsdale was not only a test of teamwork and creativity, however. It was also an inspirational experience, seamlessly integrating with the theme of the guest speaker, Sam Kuhnert. Sam is the founder of NubAbility Athletics Foundation, which organizes sports camps for limb-different youth. To echo Sam’s mission, participants in the team building exercise were blindfolded and required to navigate an obstacle course with one hand tied behind their backs. Thus, simulating the experience of having a limb difference. This added a profound layer of empathy and challenge to the activity.

Teams worked together to locate backpacks and fill them with school supplies. Additionally, the backpacks included other items suitable for a basketball camp that NubAbility would soon be hosting in Phoenix. This thoughtful inclusion underscored Vitalant’s commitment to meaningful community engagement and support for youth with physical challenges.

The event proved to be a moving and transformative experience for everyone involved, highlighting the importance of adaptability, empathy, and teamwork. It left a lasting impression on Vitalant employees, reinforcing the company’s values of community support and inclusivity.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Vitalant for their commitment to community service and to the NubAbility Athletics Foundation for their exceptional work with limb-different youth. The collaboration and efforts at this event have truly made a positive impact.
