This Build-A-Bike® event brought together an international group of new hires at Amgen. Many participants worked in engineering and biotech roles, and they approached each challenge with detail-oriented focus. The group also displayed very creative flag and cheer skills, which added great energy to the room. They used the event to get to know each other, work together, and build strong connections. Their collaboration helped them assemble 14 brand-new bikes for children in the community.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County joined the celebration and expressed deep gratitude. The CEO arrived on time, spoke well, and took many photos with the group. Her presence reinforced the impact these bikes will have on local youth. The organization appreciated the care and effort each team put into every step of the build.
