Brightway Insurance wrapped up its quarterly planning session with a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event held at Aloft Charlotte City Center in Charlotte, NC. 30 members of the leadership team gathered to foster cross-departmental collaboration while giving back to the Charlotte community. The bikes assembled during the event were donated to the Stratford Richardson YMCA. Thus, reflecting Brightway’s commitment to community engagement and team unity.

Brightway Leadership Team Unites for a Charitable Cause in Charlotte, North Carolina
Brightway’s Build-A-Bike® event in Charlotte provided a unique opportunity for members of the leadership team. The team included both new and seasoned employees, as they worked together toward a shared goal. As the final activity of the company’s quarterly planning session, the event aimed to break down traditional departmental silos and foster greater collaboration across Brightway’s leadership. Through a series of engaging team-building exercises and challenges, participants worked side by side to assemble bicycles. Additionally, they discovered new ways to communicate and solve problems as a unified team.
Once the bikes were built, representatives from the Stratford Richardson YMCA came to accept the donation on behalf of the children the YMCA serves. This time, the children could not attend the morning event. However, the YMCA team expressed gratitude on their behalf and committed to sharing pictures of the kids with their new bikes. All in all, the donation aligns with Brightway’s dedication to supporting local communities, making a positive impact on the lives of young residents in Charlotte while strengthening the bonds within the leadership team.
