Capital One Leaders Take On Build-A-Bike® Bicycle Building Charity Event in Washington, District of Columbia
The Build-A-Bike® event took place during a leadership offsite at the Salamander Washington DC. After hours of focused meetings, the group welcomed the chance to shift gears. For a room full of bankers, the energy quickly turned loud and playful. Jokes flew across the room as teams got organized and opened their bike kits. Laughter followed nearly every instruction, and the friendly banter never slowed. The competitive spirit surfaced fast, with teams eager to finish strong while still having a great time.
As the builds continued, the room stayed lively and upbeat from start to finish. The charity partner, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington, joined on short notice and arrived early. Their team jumped right in and even offered to help with the builds. Their presence added to the fun and kept things moving smoothly. By the end of the event, completed bikes lined the room and the group felt refreshed. It was a welcome break that balanced hard work with humor and generosity.
Thank you to Capital One for supporting local youth through this Build-A-Bike® event. We also thank the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington for their flexibility and hands-on support.
