Crawford Memorial Hospital hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Robinson, Illinois on November 20th. Forty leaders gathered to review annual progress and plan for the year ahead. The hospital added a hands-on team building experience to end the meeting strong. The event blended collaboration, celebration, and community service. Crawford Memorial Hospital Leadership Teams Come Together For an Amazing Build-a-Bike® Event in Robinson, Illinois
After a full day of planning and reflection, leadership teams shifted gears into the Build-A-Bike® challenge. Energy picked up instantly as teams formed and the competition began. Participants collaborated to earn bike parts through fast-paced activities. Communication improved with every round. Leaders laughed, encouraged one another, and jumped into the action. The hands-on format helped everyone unwind while still working toward a shared goal. The room buzzed with momentum as teams raced the clock. The activity created natural connections and renewed enthusiasm across departments.
As the final bikes came together, the team got reminded of the purpose of the event. Firefighters arrived to collect the completed bicycles for local children. Representatives from six area fire departments participated. Each department received two bikes for families in their service areas. The exchange created an emotional and unforgettable moment. Firefighters expressed sincere appreciation to the group. Many participants felt a strong sense of pride and fulfillment. The donation reinforced the hospital’s commitment to community care. The experience left a lasting impression on everyone involved.
