HBCSD Leadership Team Earns Sports Equipment for Two Schools at Game On Event
Game On is built around a simple idea: teams don’t just build something for charity — they earn it. Through a series of competitive challenges requiring communication, strategy, and teamwork, each group earns the equipment that gets donated at the end. For a school district leadership team, the message landed perfectly.
The event also gave the group a chance to reconnect before the school year began in earnest. Between the competition and the collaboration, leaders who may only cross paths at formal meetings got to work together. Reminding them why they chose this work in the first place.
The sports equipment earned through the event was donated to Sowers Middle School and Dwyer Middle School. Two schools within the district that will put it to immediate use as students return to campus. It was a fitting way for a school district leadership team to invest back into the community they serve every day.
